The expanded finals introduce 12 groups and 104 matches. The tournament opens in Mexico City and finishes with the July final.
Forty-eight teams play in 12 groups of four. The top two teams in every group plus the eight best third-placed teams advance to a 32-team knockout bracket, where each tie is decided in a single match.
